On October 18, 2016 St. Mary’s received delivery of a brand new church organ. The Rogers Instruments Infinity 361 was purchased from M. Steinert & Sons of Boston and replaces the 40 year old Allen organ which was in need of expensive repairs and parts that are no longer available. The Infinity 361 was chosen by a committee formed by Fr. Matt Westcott. The old organ was removed and the Infinity 361 was installed by M. Steinert & Sons and Titan Movers and Riggers. McCarthy Electric and Andy Gibbs were also involved.
Rogers Instruments organs and specifically the Infinity 361 are known for their expansive range of voices and the finely textured sounds of great pipe organs. The Infinity 361 is used by Pope Francis at the Vatican. It made it’s St. Mary’s debut with the choir to rave reviews at the 11:00 am Mass on Sunday, October 23, 2016.
Many thanks go to Fr. Matt, the Committee, McCarthy Electric, M. Steinert & Sons, Lloyd and Andy Gibbs, and Titan Movers and Riggers.
